We have some buckling in our ceiling & we were told that it can't be proved that it was caused by our sinkhole. If the problem has gotten progressively worse since we filed the claim, wouldn't it be because the ceiling must be moving due to the sinkhole? We are being told it will be classified as a workmanship issue. (Our home is 8 months old) Our garage door is also coming away from the frame in one spot. We have a cosmetic person coming out Monday to check the damage & we were told that if the insurance company calls their structural engineer, it will not be in our favor. We've had a few foundation companies come out & one of them said that the ceiling is not a workmanship issue because it wouldn't be getting worse. Will a cosmetic person say that this is not sinkhole related & what can I say?
