Just signed up and looking for information about what may be the cause for cracks forming in our Block structure - it appears that the slab is "tilting" in at least one direction and perhaps 2. The home is in central Florida (west side) and the area homes are built on slabs that are based on a "Fine" sand.
I do not think that it is a "sinkhole" at this point .... but perhaps the land our neighborhood is being build on is not suitable for homebuilding.
It almost seems as if the water that lands near the base of the slab is removing the support and the slab is leaning/cracking on at least one corner causing the cracks to form the stairstep patten in the stucco surface.
Information on what to execpt would be appreciated.
